Winter Park Resort is known as a leader in world class terrain park design. The last three years, Winter Park Resort's parks have received a top 10 ranking by the readers of Transworld Snowboarding and are applauded for their progressive design providing learning opportunities for the very beginner to the most seasoned pro. The Starter Park, located below Snoasis, is designed for the beginner-jibber. This park features small boxes perfect for those first attempts at rail sliding. Dog Patch, located on the east side of the Eskimo Express, offers skiers and riders an intermediate park system ideal for perfecting skills. Dog Patch East, located just east of the original Dog Patch, offers a variety of non-traditional jib features for skiers and riders. Rail Yard, Winter Park's advanced terrain, features a combination of rails and jumps with perfect flow. Dark Territory, Rail Yard's limited access area, continues to evolve with more unique features including two new jump lines, a variety of rails, boxes and manmade jibs.
25 lifts including two high-speed six-pack lifts (the newest is the Panoramic Express – the highest in North America), seven high-speed express quads, four triples, six double chairlifts, three surface lifts and two t-bar/platters and one rope tow provide an uphill capacity of 38,370 riders per hour. For special occasions such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Martin Luther King holiday, President’s Day and Valentine’s Day, the Zephyr Express chairlift is modified to accommodate 20 gondola cabins for dinner service to The Lodge at Sunspot atop Winter Park Mountain.
