Winter in Winter Park
As you can imagine, Winter in Winter Park is the primary season! It is a playground of outdoor activities and recreation. The winter season in Winter Park is an incredible experience for anyone who loves the snow. Winter Park receives the most snowfall of any other location in Colorado and the Winter Park Ski Resort is the longest continually operating ski resort in Colorado, celebrating 71 years of operation in 2010/2011.
In addition to Winter Park's pristine skiing and snowboarding conditions, Winter Park, Colorado is also an excellent location for other activities such as snow tubing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice skating, sled dog mushing and ice fishing. If you are feeling competitive or just want to catch a big fish there are even ice fishing competitions that take place in Winter Park. Ice skating lessons are available at the Winter Park Ice Rink along with skate rentals. Stroll down the Main Street in Winter Park and visit a local coffee shop, bakery, gallery or just about anything else you would like to see. There's even a town ice skating rink located right next to Cooper Creek Mall. Cooper Creek hosts a variety of shops surrounded by cobblestone walkways, central bonfire and fountain.
