The Best Restaurants in Winter Park, Colorado
Winter Park may be a small size town, but we love to eat! There are over 40 restaurants and bars in Winter Park and Fraser offering original and eclectic menus. Everyone has their favs and here are a few of ours (in no particular order)!

1. Hernando's Pizzeria- A winter Park Tradition since 1967 and the best pizzas this side of Chicago! Specializing in "Roma" style crust which wraps roma tomatoes in the dough. Picnic style bench seating surrounds a fireplace that crackles in the middle of the dining room and dollar bills coat the entire interior. Join the tradition of leaving your mark in Hernando's by decorating a bill and taping it to the wall! 970-726-5409

2. Mountain Rose Cafe This little cafe is one of the best breakfast and lunch spots touting "redneck fusion with a dash of hippie love". The menu features homemade breads, fresh salsas, granola, quiche and everything is made from scratch (yummie bloody mary's too!) 970-726-1374

3. The Sushi Bar- Sushi? In Winter Park? You got it! Asian inspired specialties like the Aquarium roll, the Mary Jane Roll and the Big Kahuna Roll. Happy hour specials are from 4-6 along with Asian Tapas. 970-726-0447

4. The Tabernash Tavern- located in Tabernash just 4 miles from Fraser. Enjoy Chef Al's fusion creations representing world wide dishes. It's a menu you have to see to believe! Serving lunch and dinner in the summer Tuesday- Saturday, plus Sunday brunch! Winter schedule is dinner only.  Reservations are recommended 970-726-4430. Outdoor covered patio.  

5. Smokin' Moe's Ribhouse & Saloon Located in Cooper Creek Square where you can browse shops and galleries and enjoy lunch or dinner. Moe's is famous for pulled pork sandwiches and fried okra! Home to the performances of the Grand County Blues performances and live music, you must check this out! 970-726-4600

6. Deno's Mountain Bistro-  Just 2 blocks from Beaver Village condos, this bar and restaurant has several large screen TV's for viewing sports any time of the year. Deno's has been a traditional apres ski gathering for locals for years. Check it out to see why! You will find everything from pizzas and sandwiches to fine steaks and fish. Deno's also has an extensive wine cellar. 970-726-5332

7. The Rapids Restaurant in Grand Lake- Ok, so this isn't in Winter Park but is one of the best restaurants in Grand County! Take a day drive to Grand Lake to explore the town's old timey board walk and enjoy dinner by the Tonahutu River. We suggest the pan seared Elk Medallions or the Pistachio Encrusted Salmon- Yummm! The setting is perfect the food divine! 970-627-3707. 

8. Carver's Bakery Located next to Cooper Creek square this bakery is famous for it's homemade breads and baked goods. Enjoy piping hot breakfast tucked away in one of the oldest buildings in Winter Park. Lunch features homemade soups, stews, sandwiches and salads! 970-726-8202

9. The Star of India- Who knew such a small town like Winter Park could provide so many dining options! Star of India is located at the Cooper Creek Square second floor. Serving lunch and dinner 6 days a week with a killer lunch buffet for only $8.95. Call ahead or just stop by 970-726-5991. Lunch is served Tuesday - Sunday from 11am-2:30pm and dinner 5pm-9pm! 

10. Fontenot's Seafood Grille Cajun cooking at it's best, so good you will think you are in NewOwlins! Blackened catfish, Gumbo rich with crawfish and homebaked bread compliment this "bourbon street cafe" right here in Winter Park! 970-726-4021. Fontenot's serves lunch and dinner 7 days a week.
